Land mine dropped off at fire station
FORT WALTON BEACH — An unexploded ordnance was delivered to the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department Monday afternoon.
The ordnance, later identified as a training land mine, was found on a piece of private property in the Florosa area. The two men who brought it in asked if the fire crews could dispose of it, according to a Fort Walton Beach Police Department press release.
“When Fire Department personnel realized that the males were in fact holding what appeared to be an actual unexploded land mine, they instructed the males to place the device on the ground and they walked away,” the press release said.
How many 16 oz cans of Natural Ice did it take before these two asshats thought they should maybe drive it on over to the fire station. I can see the firemen’s faces when they told them what they had.
With guys having this particular type of intellectual deficit, you KNOW that they tried to detonate it themselves in the backyard before they hauled it on down to the fire station.
